Getting to LarchHill


Access by Car

From the M50 motorway to Larch Hill

Leave the M50 motorway at Junction 12 and follow signs for Ballyboden. At first roundabout take 2nd exit, at next roundabout take 2nd exit, at next roundabout take 3rd exit drive up Ballyboden Road past the Eastern Health Board Health Centre and continue up this road past Edmondstown Golf Club. You will pass under the motorway bridge and come to The Merry Ploughboy Pub on your left. About 200 metres further on there is a fork in the road take the left turn, down the hill. At the foot of the dip you will come to a junction with Mutton Lane , carefully cross the junction onto Mutton Lane. Drive along Mutton Lane, ignoring side roads, and you will arrive at the main gates in a cul-de-sac.

From the City Centre

From the GPO travel up O' Connell Street into D'olier Street and onto Dame Street. Travel up Dame Street to Christchurch Cathedral and turn left onto Patrick's Street. Continue up Patrick's Street into Clanbrassil Street heading for Harold's X Bridge. Over the bridge you will pass Our Lady's Hospice on your right and come to a fork in the road. Take the left fork heading up to Kenilworth Cross and straight through to Terenure Village. Head straight on at Terenure heading to Rathfarnham. In Rathfarnham take a right turn at the junction at Yellow House Pub, this will bring you onto Willbrook Road. Head straight up this road until you come to a roundabout at Grange Road. Go straight through the roundabout and past the Eastern Health Board Health Centre and continue up this road past Edmondstown Golf Club to Rockbrook. You will pass under he motorway bridge and come to The Merry Ploughboy Pub on your left. About 200 metres further on there is a fork in the road take the left turn, down the hill. Access by Bus/Train

There are two main rail stations operated by Irish Rail within 12 Kilometers of Larch Hill. A public bus transport service from the City Centre is provided by Dublin Bus from Dublin Airport via O'Connell Street in the City Centre by Route 16A to Nutgrove Shopping Centre in Rathfarnham and then by local bus Route 161 to Rockbrook within one mile of the campsite.

Private Bus Hire

Private bus hire is available to and from Larch Hill. The fleet includes 8, 16, 22, 29, 34, 49 and 53 seater coaches. This is often cheaper than public transport and will collect you and bring you directly to your destination(s). Medical

There is a local G.P. and Tallaght adult and childrens hospital is 6 Kilometers from the campsite.

 

Stores

 

Food supplies can be obtained from a number of supermarkets within the area including Tesco and Superquinn, some of which operate a delivery service. Details can be obtained from the Campsite Warden on Booking. There is also a small on-site tuck-shop.

 

Religious

There are regular Roman Catholic Masses on-site or in the local area, with Church of Ireland(Anglican) services available at Rathfarnham Parish Church within easy reach of the campsite.
