Larch Hill has run it’s 16th Elf World this year. Each year the event raises money for two children’s charities as well as collecting sleeping bags for the homeless by building a magical Elf World for the Beavers of Scouting Ireland. Santa himself knows how special this event is and takes time out of his very busy schedule to visit Larch Hill for the weekend.
This event is built and ran solely by the voluntary Meitheal staff of Larch Hill Campsite along with the Ventures and Rovers that generously donate their time.
This years charities are;
1.My Canine Companions Ireland, a charity who trains dogs to assist children and young adults living with Autism. They are committed to helping children with autism and their families gain independence, companionship and safety through the provision of highly trained and skilled Service Dogs.
2. Our Lady of Fatima School in Wexford, Our Lady of Fatima School was founded in 1968 to facilitate the needs of children with a learning difficulty. Since its inception it has grown from strength to strength. Over a hundred students attend this school from all over the county and range in age from 4 to 18 years.
We have raised almost €7K through the running of the event and we are seeking to increase the proceeds to be donated to the selected charities through this Go Fund Me account. Thank you for your support.
